Holafly specializes in unlimited data plans. The Spanish company targets travelers who do not want to think about gigabytes at all. Alongside country and regional plans, it now also offers subscriptions for frequent travelers. Our assessment is based on plans, features and user reviews, not on our own hands-on testing.
Plans & pricing
With Holafly, you mainly choose your destination and the number of days; data is usually unlimited. That makes choosing very simple. Per day, prices are higher than classic GB packages, especially on short trips. The longer the trip, the more attractive the model becomes. Keep in mind that unlimited does not mean unlimited full speed: in some countries a fair use policy applies, after which speed may be reduced. We show the specific conditions for each plan in our comparison.
A quick example without specific prices: if you watch Reels, upload videos and navigate every day for two weeks, you can easily use 20 GB or more. That is where Holafly shines. If you only use Maps and WhatsApp, you pay for capacity you never use. Comparing the price per day is always worth it.
App & setup
Holafly has its own app and a web dashboard. The eSIM is installed via QR code, one-tap installation or manual entry, with clear instructions. On hotspot, Holafly is stricter than many competitors: depending on the plan, sharing is limited to a small amount of data per day or not possible at all. If you regularly need to connect a laptop, check the plan details carefully. Standard plans do not include a phone number.
Since data is unlimited, the app does not show a classic data counter. More important is the remaining validity, which you can check at any time. Extensions are available for many destinations.
Customer support & reviews
Customer support is available around the clock via chat, which users often mention positively. On Trustpilot, Holafly scores well across many reviews. Critical voices mostly concern the hotspot restrictions, reduced speeds after heavy use and the price level for short trips. Users appreciate the simplicity of not having to count data.
Who is it for?
Holafly is ideal for travelers who stream a lot, use social media heavily or simply do not want to track their usage, especially on trips of a week or longer. For light users and short trips, GB packages are usually cheaper. If you work a lot via hotspot, a provider with unrestricted tethering is a better fit. Our guide How much data do I need? helps you estimate your usage.
A practical note: Holafly plans usually run for a fixed number of days. Count your arrival and departure days so the eSIM does not expire on your last day. Popular destinations for unlimited plans are long-haul trips such as the USA, Japan or Thailand, where trips tend to be longer anyway.
Our verdict
Holafly stands out with unlimited data, simple plan selection and 24/7 support. For short trips and hotspot users, the model is less attractive. For longer trips with high data needs, Holafly is a convenient choice.
