Saily is a relatively young eSIM provider launched in 2023 by the company behind NordVPN. It focuses on ease of use and extra security features, and offers plans for more than 180 destinations. Our assessment is based on plans, features and user reviews, not on our own hands-on testing.
Plans & pricing
Saily offers classic data packages with fixed gigabyte amounts and validity periods, plus unlimited plans for selected destinations and regional and global packages. Prices are competitive, especially for mid-size and larger packages in popular destinations. New customers often get promotional discounts. The eSIM is data-only, without a phone number. A credit system lets you collect credits toward future purchases.
For longer trips or multiple countries, Saily offers regional and global packages. Check the coverage: not every regional package includes all non-EU countries such as Switzerland or the Western Balkans. Our destination pages show which Saily plans are available for your trip.
App & setup
The app has a modern design and guides you clearly through purchase and installation. Setup happens directly from the app, without scanning a QR code. A standout feature is built-in extras such as an ad and tracker blocker and a virtual location option. That can be handy, but it does not replace a full VPN. Hotspot use is allowed, and top-ups work directly in the app.
You create an account in the app and pay by credit card or wallet. Remaining data is visible at a glance, and the app reminds you to top up when you are running low. If you already use NordVPN, the design will feel familiar.
Customer support & reviews
Saily offers 24/7 support via chat. User reviews mostly describe the service positively, along with the easy installation. Critical reviews mention occasional activation problems and network quality in certain countries, which depend largely on the partner network. Its background in an established security company gives many users confidence.
Who is it for?
Saily suits travelers who appreciate a modern, simple app and value privacy features. For typical vacations in popular destinations like Spain, Japan or the USA, Saily is a good option. If you need a plan with a phone number, look elsewhere.
Good to know: the security features are a bonus, not a requirement. If you do not use them, you still get a regular travel eSIM. Thanks to its clear instructions, Saily is a good starting point for first-time eSIM users. For the basics, read What is an eSIM?
Our verdict
Saily offers fair prices, a very easy-to-use app and useful security extras. The 24/7 support is a plus. As a young provider it lacks some of the track record of the biggest competitors, but it performs well in user reviews.
